THe Terrier Group
The Terrier Group was originally bred to hunt small game and kill rodents that infested homes. While some terriers are still used as hunting dogs today, they are more common as lap dogs. Many breeds of this group have gained considerable popularity while some breeds are virtually unknown out of their origin. Terriers are known to be act-first dogs but can make excellent house pets if trained with a firm hand early on and properly introduced to strangers.
